About us
Based at Bentley Park College, the Regional Music Coordinator with the Wind and Strings Project Officers support administrators, Instrumental Music (IM) teachers and instructors to deliver high quality Instrumental Music to students across the region. This support is delivered through professional development opportunities for teachers, curriculum planning and support, pedagogical development, moderation, assessment, recruitment and selection, the coordination of regional music camps and state wide events such as Fanfare and Choral Fanfare.
The region has approximately 35 teachers working across primary, secondary and Pā12 colleges and offers Instrumental Music through the Cairns School of Distance Education to students living in isolated or remote areas.
